Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Beginner Investor Hub, Inc. ("BIH", "we"). By creating an account or using the website, app or classroom tools, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you use BIH on behalf of a school, district, bank or credit union, you agree for that organization and confirm you are authorized to do so.

Give accurate information when you sign up, including your date of birth, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account. Tell us right away at security@beginnerinvestorhub.com if you think someone else has used it.

Accounts created by a school (for example through its learning management system or single sign-on) are managed by that school, which may control access and data.

If you are under 13, you may use BIH only through your school or with your parent or guardian's consent. If you are 13 to 17, you may use BIH only with your parent or guardian's permission, and they agree to these terms for you.

Parents and guardians can contact us at info@beginnerinvestorhub.com to review or delete their child's information. Our Privacy Policy explains how we protect children's information.

BIH teaches general financial concepts. We do not provide personalized financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing on BIH is a recommendation to buy or sell any security. We are not a broker, dealer or registered investment adviser, and using BIH does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship. Talk to a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

Some lessons, explanations and coach responses are generated by AI. We review and filter them, but they can still contain mistakes. Check important information against other sources. See also our Financial Disclaimer.

All portfolios, trades, balances and returns in BIH simulations and games are fictional and use play money. Market data may be delayed, simplified or illustrative, and simulated results do not predict real results.

XP, levels, streaks, Gold Coins and other rewards have no cash or real-world value and cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged for money. We may adjust or reset them, for example to fix errors or prevent abuse.

Some features need a paid plan. Prices and what each plan includes are shown before you buy. Payments are processed by Stripe, and paid plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel.

You can cancel at any time in Settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep paid features until the end of the period you already paid for. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable, though we may issue a refund at our discretion. If we change a price, we will tell you before it applies to your next renewal.

A school or district that uses BIH confirms it has the authority to provide student information to us for educational purposes, including any consent needed from parents. We use student information only to provide the service to that school, as described in our Privacy Policy and in any written agreement with the school, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.

Banks and credit unions that sponsor learners receive program reporting for Community Reinvestment Act purposes: totals and pseudonymous session records, never student identities, grades or messages. Sponsors may not use BIH to market products to students or to try to identify individual learners. Whether any activity qualifies for CRA consideration is decided by the sponsor and its regulators; BIH does not guarantee CRA credit. A written sponsorship agreement controls if it conflicts with these terms.

When using BIH, do not:

• harass, threaten or share inappropriate content with other users;
• use someone else's account or share yours;
• try to break, overload, scrape or get around the security of the service, or access data that is not yours;
• use bots or scripts to earn rewards or answer activities;
• use BIH for anything unlawful.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we will tell the school when a school account is affected.

BIH, including its lessons, the Knowledge Vault, games, the Custos Aerarii character and our software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use it for learning. Teachers may use BIH materials with their own classes.

You keep ownership of what you write (such as answers and messages). You let us store and process it to run and improve the service as described in the Privacy Policy.

You can stop using BIH and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or if we stop offering the service, and we will give notice where we reasonably can. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as disclaimers and limits of liability) survive.

BIH is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any content is complete or accurate. Some places do not allow these exclusions, so they may not all apply to you.

To the extent the law allows, BIH is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any financial losses from decisions you make, and our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise.

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will notify account holders by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use BIH after that means you accept the updated terms.
