Every lesson, Knowledge Vault chapter, guide and blog post on Beginner Investor Hub (BIH) is written to teach how money and markets work. We do not recommend specific securities, tell readers what to buy or sell, or promise returns. See our financial disclaimer for the full terms.

Content is written and reviewed under the direction of our founder, Kevin Ringler. Blog articles name their author and publication date. Learn more on our About page.

• We aim to base facts and figures, such as contribution limits and tax rules, on primary sources like the IRS, SEC, FINRA, the Federal Reserve and state agencies.
• Rules and limits change. Figures in our content may be simplified or out of date, so check current rules with the official source or a qualified professional before acting.
• Market data in the simulator comes from third-party providers and may be delayed.

Worked examples are hypothetical and labeled as such. They illustrate a concept and are not predictions. The practice portfolio uses a simulated $100,000 balance with no real money, and simulated results do not predict how real investments would perform.
